" I discovered metal after many
years with paint, brushes, and pencil.
I find metal to be very exciting to work with as it can be stretched and
compressed, cut with a sawblade, hammered. soldered, textured, formed,
colored, melted and reformed into a sheet and you can start all over again.
This is called fabrication and this is what I do" |

"Another
exciting aspect of jewelry making is the addition of gemstones. I find
that cutting, grinding, and polishing my own stones to any shape I desire is
a large part of my artistic expression. I teach classes at home and my
students love it when I cut stones for them to buy. I also love being
able to pass along to them the knowledge I have for making the jewelry."
