The Kentucky Watercolor Society was formed in 1977 to promote watercolor as an
important medium in the arts community and to provide support and educational
opportunities for the watercolor artist. To that end we sponsor exhibitions,
competitions and workshops for the professional, hobbyist, and beginning artist. We
are a non-profit, nationally recognized, all-volunteer organization. The KWS has
grown to over 500 members across the United States. We have gained national
prominence with our juried Aqueous
USA competition. In the 2005 Aqueous USA, the awards totaled
$8,000.00! |
